New Faces to Inspire you by Diane Briegleb
It has been awhile since my Mom Diane has created some new pieces. I’m sure I don’t have to tell you that the last few years have been challenging. It took the wind out of our sails a bit and it was not always easy to find the desire to be creative. Thankfully Mom has found a renewed spark and we wanted to share with your some of her new faces.
Many are available on our Etsy site and we are in the process of adding even more. So please be sure to check back frequently and follow the Etsy store so you can see the latest and the greatest. Etsy Store: https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheFaceofTime (Most of the pieces here can be found on the main page but also under the “Fancy Faces and “Warrior Maiden” categories.)
Here is a message from the artist herself:
It has been awhile since I’ve made my faces. In this most recent group I focused on terracotta. I love the natural feel and look of the clay. The rich colors really lend themselves to a beautiful contrast when I add glazes to really bring out the features of the piece.
I created a group of the more simple faces in terracotta painted with variations of pattern and color. The ladies are ready for use in jewelry, your altars, assemblages and mixed media projects… whatever your dreams may be and wherever your creativity takes you!
All of my pieces extend not only from my hands, but also from my heart. They are a part of me and reach you and with that an invisible bond is created. I thank each and every one of you that finds your way to my faces and feels inspired to create any make your own creations.

Just wondering if Buttercup Beads in Pennsylvania is selling your faces or have they copied them?
Hello Marilyn, they do appear to be our faces. While we don’t recall selling directly to them, making these faces for over 40 years we do know that beads get traded, bought and sold and have a way of making their way into retail stores. But I am pretty sure they are ours and not a copy. 🙂 Thanks for asking!
