Nancy Kendall – Featured Artist
I know it’s been awhile but we got all tangled up in the holidays with family & friends and lately we’ve been gearing up for the snow up here in the mountains. So that gets my excuses out of the way. 😉 But, I have been working on some things & collaborations that might interest you!
I am so pleased to announce that we are offering some absolutely stunning one-of-a-kind wire wrapped necklaces designed and created by my teacher and multifaceted artist Nancy Kendall from Eugene, OR. Nancy has quite a way with wire, pretty stones, beads of all sorts and now The Face. We invite you to check out her work in our Etsy store (under the Goddess Necklaces section): https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheFaceofTime?section_id=25148954
Nancy in her own words…
Growing Up in Eugene, at an early age I discovered a love for drawing. I took Maude Kerns art classes for kids introduced me to a variety of new materials…I loved them all. At eighteen I moved to Portland, drawn there by music and spent a couple decades enjoying the wealth of live music. I also attended Pacific Northwest College of Art/Oregon Art Institute, where I graduated with a BFA in Illustration.
Eventually, I moved back to Eugene, I fell into jewelry making and discovered a whole new medium of wearable art. Currently, I work in whatever medium inspires me in that moment, sometimes paint and sometimes wire. Whatever the medium, I let my intuition be my guide. Nature is always an inspiration, organic forms of all sorts, plants, stones, bones, shadows, clouds, faces…
